Haha. Every art teacher I've ever had is raging over the overwhelming amount of ~Negative Space~ in this picture. MAN WHATEVER I'D RATHER HAVE NEGATIVE SPACE THAN AN UGLY BACKGROUND /shot (EDIT: I cheated.)

MAN IDK I've been so sick of my "style" this summer, to the point where I'm almost embarrassed to be caught sketching. Nothing turns out the way I want it to. (I blame Code Geass. Stupid CLAMP throwing my proportions off. XD; ) HOWEVER, despite the obvious flaws here (hands, Anzu's uniform, Jounouchi, etc), I think Anzu's head is really cute, haha :< And this turned out much better than other things I've been doing.

I think it's funny how I obviously spent SO MUCH MORE TIME on Anzu than Jounouchi. I guess it's because I've been itching to draw Anzu, but Jounouchi just sort of materialized into the picture... I mean I intended to draw them together, but I didn't mean for it to look...exactly the way it did? XD; Ah well. They are such cute friends. I'm not sure if I'd say I go for Devotionshipping for serious (assuming that's what it's actually called), but I suppose the idea of it rather tickles my fancy. BUT REALLY this is just a friendshippy picture because they are cute. :'3

Really nice picture ^^
The background is good, no worries, sometimes it's even better to see that kind of background, deepens a feeling.
Don't hate your own style. If you find it not very fitting, try looking for some "How to draw" tutorials and see if something fits. I'm not saying "use them". Just sometimes they may have an advice or two and you can mix it with your own style to make it look better. Anyway, as a fan I am content with your style already.

Aww, thanks for the comment.

Yeah, sorry about that artists' comment. I was just getting a little frustrated at the time I posted that because I wasn't happy with the way a few of my art projects were turning out. I do like to draw inspiration from other types of art every now and then though :3
